Air Force ROTC Nursing Scholarships

Air Force members who are students qualify for various types of Air Force ROTC scholarships. If you are a U.S. citizen who is interested in becoming an Air Force nurse, you may qualify for these Type 2 scholarships. You must pass the Air Force Office Qualifying Test and the Air Force ROTC Physical Fitness Test and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Nursing scholarships pay college tuition and most fees up to $18,000 as well as $900 annually for books. The scholarships are noncompetitive and based on qualifications rather than a scholarship selection board. Navy NROTC Nursing Scholarships

Students who are interested in serving in the Navy may qualify for NROTC scholarships toward the cost of nursing education. Nursing scholarship opportunities in the Navy mean you can graduate from school potentially debt-free. Navy nurses work in all areas of health care including education, medical, surgical, nurse midwife, critical care, emergency trauma, public health, pediatrics and more.

Navy scholarships can cover the full cost of up to $180,000 of your nursing education at some of the finest colleges in the country. The scholarships are given by the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC). In the Nursing Candidate Program (NCP), you get an initial grant of $10,000 plus a stipend of $1,000 monthly for up to 24 months. This totals up to $34,000 to cover the cost of nursing school.

To qualify for Navy nursing scholarships, you must be a U.S. citizen or foreign citizen licensed to practice in the U.S. and be a student in good standing at a U.S. program granting a bachelor of science degree and accredited by the CCNE. You must also be willing to serve a minimum of three years of Active Duty, pass physical and medical exams and be between the ages of 18 and 41.
